To our health care providers, first responders and everyone selflessly setting aside their own fears and concerns to help others during this time - thank you hardly seems enough. And now is the perfect time to reach out to friends and others and just check in. I encourage you to find ways to safely connect with those in your neighborhood who may require extra help and with groups in your community that are making a difference and support them however you can. We all understand the importance of -social distancing- to slow the spread, but we should remember that’s just physical distancing. Most states allow existing producers a 6-month grace period for completion however, the grace period may vary by state. New 2020 Best Interest Standard: Existing producers have the option to complete either a new 4-credit training course, approved by the Department of Insurance, that includes the Best Interest Standard, or a 1-hour supplementary training course specific to the Best Interest Standard. Insurance producers who hold a life insurance line of authority on the effective date of this regulation shall complete training within six (6) months after the effective date.
